I studied Textile design at Loughborough College of Art, focusing on creative embroidery in the final two years. Prior to that, I completed a Foundation course at Newcastle College of Art, where I discovered an interest in textiles. Following my graduation, I worked at an Embroidery company in Nottingham, where we used a combination of CAD and drafting to create embroidery for various companies. 

After some years, I decided to venture into the world of education. So, after completing my PGCE at Leicester De Montford, I worked at a secondary school, where I taught Art, Art Textiles, food technology, textile technology, child development, and a wee bit of Graphic products. I taught all ages, KS3,4 & 6th form.

Following the arrival of my third child, I stepped away from teaching.  However, now all three are growing up & require less of my time, I am venturing back into the creative world. 

More recently I have been working on my own work and also community based projects & workshops in my converted barn workshop.
